Site work for a water / sewer project in Montgomery, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Town of Montgomery (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Lift Station and Force Main Improvements 220060 The Project includes the following Work: Main Lift Station Improvements - New 8 HDPE force main to be installed from the Main Lift Station to the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Walker Lift Station Improvements - Both pumps will be replaced, a new 8-inch HDPE force main will be installed with the discharge located at the plant. This requires a railroad crossing. Approval from the railroad to complete this work has already been obtained. New shut off valves and check valves will be installed at this lift station. Petty Lift Station - Both pumps in the Petty lift station will be replaced. This will also include a new control panel with VFDs. The discharge force main will be replaced by 8 HDPE pipe installed by pipe bursting. New shut off valves and check valves will be installed at this lift station. Bids are requested for a single prime Contract. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Egis Group BLN USA, Inc 8320 Craig Street, Indianapolis, IN 46520 Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bid security, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner. Section 608 of the Clean Water Act and Section 1452(a)(4)(A) of the Safe Drinking Water Act require that none of the appropriated funds may be used for the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of a public water system or treatment works unless all of the iron and steel products used in the project are produced in the United States unless a waiver is provided to the recipient by US EPA (EPA Waiver).
