2024 Pipe Lining- This Item shall govern for furnishing, installing, grouting and providing all labor, material and equipment necessary to rehabilitate existing culvert pipe by slip lining an existing culvert pipe with high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The pipes shall be sizes, types, design and dimensions shown on the plans and shall include all connections, joints and other appurtenances as required to complete the work. The slip lining process will require the contractor to completely grout the annular void between the host and insert pipe. The grouting process shall be considered subsidiary to this item. The scope of this work shall Installing Cured-In-Place liner pipe or SnapTite (or equal) liner and associated work to enable the installation of the liner pipe. Installation shall be as shown in the advertisement for bids. All work will be performed at the detailed and specific direction of the City Engineer's office. Contractor shall be prepared to enter into an agreement immediately upon award of Contract. Project shall be completed by June 1, 2025. A bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, and made payable to the City of Columbus, Indiana, is required with each Bid Response as guaranty that the terms of the bid will be carried out. A one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder. It is intended that actual construction of all work divisions shall be started as soon as practicable, and each bidder shall be prepared to enter promptly into a construction contract, furnish a performance bond, furnish a certificate of insurance, and begin work without delay.
