The Littleton Water Department ("LWD") invites bids from qualified bidders for: the redevelopment of LWD Wells (well 1, 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4 and 5), located in Littleton, MA 01460. Question Deadline 11/29/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to: Paul Denaro, Littleton Water Department, pdenaro@lelwd.com rospective bidders must be registered users of the web site to submit questions regarding the project. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by LWD at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. Each well is described in the scope of work. In addition, questions, or clarifications regarding this IFB should be submitted in writing to: Paul Denaro, Littleton Water Department, pdenaro@lelwd.com All bids for this project are subject to the applicable provisions of the Massachusetts bidding laws, including those found at M.G.L. c. 149, 44A - 44H and M.G.L. c. 30, 39M et seq. A bid deposit in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount of the bid will be due with the bid, in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. A payment bond in an amount equal to 50% of the total amount of the bid, with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will be required for the successful bidder. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid on this project as determined by the Department of Labor Standards under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 149, 26-27D. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. LWD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids received, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the LWD to do so.
