Site work and new construction of a museum in Galena, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade museum; and for site work for a museum.
Galena and US Grant History Museum, Galena, IL The bids are for a single Prime Contract for a new one-story museum with mezzanine, located at 517 Bouthillier Street, Galena, IL 61036. The Owner and Architect will review bids, recommendations and award contract within 30 days. Work is anticipated to commence upon award of contract or Notice to Proceed, on or about April 01, 2025, be substantially complete within 400 days, and fully completed 4 weeks later. Bid security in the amount of five (5)% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond is required for this project, and must be submitted at the time of bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. Surety companies must be listed on Department of the Treasury's Circular 570. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Instructions to Bidders. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of thirty (30) days after submission. The award of the contract may be made by the Owner to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and/or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Illinois. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program.
