As of March 7, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 24th, 2025. Installation of new Pickleball court at Recreation Park, including: earth excavation; base preparation; French drain; asphalt pavement; acrylic surface system and linework; PCC sidewalk & slabs; fence system; install provided bleachers and benches. Relocation of existing Volleyball court to the pool greenspace area, including: earth excavation; base preparation with geotextile fabric and underdrains; installation of net system; sand; and PCC sidewalk & slabs. Bids will be on a total sum basis; segregated bids are not acceptable. Contractors for work under this Bid will obligate Contractor and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. All bids must be accompanied by a bank draft, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the City of Galena for 10 percent of the total amount of the bid. All work done under this contract is subject to all requirements of the Department of Labor, State of Illinois, and must pay the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Department of Labor and the Owner. Contractors must comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act (Source: P.A. 86-1459). This invitation is given and published pursuant to authorization and direction of the City of Galena.
