Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Kissimmee, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Work performed under this contract include all labor, materials, and the equipment necessary to provide completion of the Tennis and/or Basketball Courts Resurfacing at Multi Sites. Work shall be completed in accordance with all federal, state, and local order and shall meet or exceed the standards of: The United State Tennis Association (USTA), American Sports Builders Association (ASBA). AWARD TERM The successful Bidder(s) shall be awarded a contract for the completion of the Resurfacing Athletic Courts Projects at Celebration High School, Harmony High School, Liberty High School and St. Cloud High School. The award term recommendation will be that which is determined to be in the best interest of the School Board. SCOPE Work performed under this contract include all labor, materials, and the equipment necessary to provide completion of the Tennis and/or Basketball Courts Resurfacing at Multi Sites. Work shall be completed in accordance with all federal, state, and local order and shall meet or exceed the standards of: The United State Tennis Association (USTA), American Sports Builders Association (ASBA). A. St. Cloud High School (Asphalt)- The Scope of work will consist of: 1. Remove existing net or tennis system. 2. Fix any anchor/center for net. 3. Fix asphalt base in three (3) different areas. Estimated measurements of those areas are: 10' X 2', 10' X 2' and 10' X 6'. 4. Sand down court, approximate 5,056 SY/45,500 SF. Wash to ensure that surface is clean and free of dirt, mildew and other contaminants prior to application of any material; See Attachment "A". Fill all cracks 1/16" or greater with acrylic patch mix following the product manufacturer instructions and the industry standards. 5. Flood court and patch any area holding water per American Sports Building Association (ASBA) & United States Tennis Association (USTA) guidelines. 6. Apply two (2) coats of Acrylic Re-surfacer, Acrytech (Black or Neutral), or an equivalent over the entire surface of the court including partition area between the courts, following the product manufacturer instructions; See Attachment "B". 7. Apply two (2) coats of Color Coating, Acrytech or equivalent over the entire surface of the court and following the product manufacturer instructions; See Attachment "B". o Inbound Color: Gray o Outbound Color: Red 8. Paint benches located in the court. 9. Paint regulation tennis court markings with 100% acrylic white textured line paint, Acrytech or equivalent. Markings must comply and be suitable for Tennis tournaments. 10. Install any removed net or tennis system and confirm that anchor/ centers work properly. 11. Remove any debris or containers and dispose any material in accordance with local, state and Federal regulations in order to leave site in clean and orderly condition. 12. As a bid alternate, the District might be interested in: o Additional products/coats like primers and/or topcoats to protect the court and extend its lifespan. o Tennis support extension re-painted green. o Any unforeseen asphalt base issues outside of those established in Section 1.03, A, #3. Bid # SDOC-2-B-057-GC Page 5 of 53 B. Celebration High School /Harmony High School/ Liberty High School (Concrete) The Scope of Work will consist of: 1. Remove existing net or tennis system. 2. Fix any anchor/center for net. 3. Protect adjacent items from receiving color coat or resurfaces. 4. Clean concrete with Muriatic Acid to remove particles, dust and debris from concrete surface and properly wash. 5. Remove all foreign debris such as dirt, silt, gravel, leaves, mildew, mold, and loose coatings etc., using mechanically scrapers and/or high-pressure water. 6. Scrape mud areas and scrub wash with clean water. 7. After cleaning apply a Crack filler. 8. All low areas should be addressed using straight edge and greatly reducing the depth of low area to less than 1/8 of an inch prior to installation. 9. Apply two (2) coats of Acrylic Re-surfacer, DecoColor, Dynaflex or an equivalent over the entire surface of the court and following the product manufacturer instructions; See Attachment "B". 10. Apply two (2) coats of Color Coating, DecoColor, Dynaflex or equivalent over the entire surface of the court following the product manufacturer instructions; See Attachment "A" for each location color. 11. Paint regulation tennis or basketball court markings with 100% acrylic textured line paint, DecoColor, Dynaflex or equivalent. Markings must comply and be suitable for Tennis and Basketball tournaments. 12. Install any removed net or tennis system and confirm that anchor/ centers work properly. 13. Remove any debris or containers and dispose any material in accordance with local, state and Federal regulations in order to leave site in clean and orderly condition. C. QUALITY ASSURANCE For this bid the surfacing system used must be classified as category 3 medium. Any brand product is included as reference only and does not limit the use of any other product as long as the product meet the minimum requirements established herein. When bidding an equivalent, the bidder(s) must demonstrate that the alternate product is equal or higher quality to the specified. The following information should be submitted when bidding any other brand as an equivalent, o Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for system components and one-color chart o Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for system components Prior to commencing work the successful Bidder will be required to sign a written contract incorporating the specifications and terms of the Invitation To Bid and the response thereto. Any contract awarded as a result of this ITB shall begin February 17, 2024 and continue through April 25, 2024. The successful Bidder(s) shall be awarded a contract for the completion of the Resurfacing Athletic Courts Projects at Celebration High School, Harmony High School, Liberty High School and St. Cloud High School. The award term recommendation will be that which is determined to be in the best interest of the School Board If the project cost is $300,000 or more, a performance and payment bond shall be required. The awarded Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) days of notification of award a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contracted price, payable to the School Board, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract. T The School Board reserves the right to award the contract to the Bidder(s) that the School Board deems to offer the lowest responsive and responsible bid(s), as defined elsewhere in this solicitation. The School Board is therefore not bound to accept a bid on the basis of lowest price. In addition, the Director of Purchasing and Warehouse Services, as the School Board's representative, in his sole discretion reserves the right to cancel this Bid, to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities, or to re-advertise with either the identical or revised specifications, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the School Board to do so. The School Board also reserves the right to make multiple awards based on experience and qualifications or to award only a portion of the items and/or services specified, if it is deemed to be in the School Board's best interest. ** Bid date info : All Written Bids shall be sealed and delivered or mailed to the below address.
