The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is requesting bids for flooring replacement of a Houston Headquarters Office, located at 12230 West Road, Jersey Village, TX 77065. SCOPE OF WORK A. This section outlines the scope of work included in the project. Refer to the appropriate drawings and specification sections for further information about installation, preparation methods and components to be provided. The contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this portion of the project. The Contract Documents, otherwise referred to as drawings, shall serve as a part of this scope of work showing more detail on the intent of this project. The Contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this project and to field verify existing conditions and dimensions. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Remove existing carpet and wall bases and install new LVT, approximately 2,900 sf (field verify) and wall bases (match existing). Storage closets in each space is not included. See scope of work attachment for LVT product. 2. Remove furniture within space to accomplish work. 3. Provide transition strips at carpet to LVT transition and as needed. 4. Before construction DPS will remove all personal items from furniture and walls, including disconnecting and moving phones and computers), wall hangings, tv monitors (not brackets). Where furniture is lockable, personal items will not be removed and furniture will be locked. 5. Ensure all applicable codes and ADA/ADAAG/TAS regulations are followed. 6. Provide a minimum one (1) year Warranty on all installation work. 7. Provide turnkey project as indicated on the drawings and as required for complete project.
