SEALED BID: Request for Proposal (RFP) for Peaine Township Parks and Recreation Project Font Lake Park ADA-Compliant Walking Ramp and Overlook Deck Replacement Peaine Township Board of Trustees Project Overview: Peaine Township seeks cost type not-to-exceed proposals from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of a deteriorating walking ramp and deck at Font Lake Park. This project includes the removal of the current 120-foot walking ramp and 8-foot by 8-foot deck, followed by the construction of a 121-foot ADA-compliant walking deck with rails and a 10-foot by 10-foot overlook deck with benches with a scenic view of Font Lake. Project Scope of Work: 1. Demolition and Removal Safely dismantle and remove the existing 120-foot walking ramp and 8-foot by 8-foot deck. Dispose of materials in accordance with local and environmental regulations. 2. Construction of ADA-Compliant Walking Deck Build a new, ADA-compliant 121-foot long, 6-foot wide walking deck with rails. Utilize durable, weather-resistant, and low-maintenance materials suitable for outdoor, public use. Ensure the deck meets ADA accessibility standards. 3. Construction of Overlook Deck Construct a 10-foot by 10-foot overlook deck at the end of the walking deck, oriented to provide an unobstructed view of Font Lake. Include permanent benches on two sides of the deck using the same construction materials as the deck, if possible. Overlook deck design should be ADA compliant, incorporating necessary railings and safety measures for public use. 4. Site Cleanup and Restoration Following construction, clear the site of any construction debris and restore the surrounding area. All materials can be taken to the transfer station at no cost.
