Town of Brownsburg Parks Department in Brownsburg, Indiana, is requesting sealed bids from interested firms for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation necessary for turn-key removal and replacement of basketball courts in Arbuckle Acres Park and Williams Park. ARBUCKLE COURTS (EXHIBIT A) o Removal and replacement of asphalt basketball courts to include surface coating and striping (court dimensions approximately 150'x84'). No pickleball court striping to be included in striping cost. o Court profile to include 8"of compacted 53s, geo textile reinforcement, 2.5" HMA Base and 1.5" HMA surface, plus surface coating and striping (see attached Exhibit C detail) o Addition of 33 LF of 5' wide concrete walks. Add ramps if needed. o Addition of 9 LF of 7.5' wide concrete walk between tennis courts and basketball courts o Add court underdrain system and daylight to existing detention pond. Underdrain to be backfilled with #8 stone. o Earthen subgrade shall be minimally crowned east and west from center to new underdrain. Playing surface to be flat and sheet drain southeast toward underdrain outlet. o Remove and salvage goal posts for reinstallation by Contractor. Alternate #2 pricing to include replacement of goal posts o Replace backboards and double rim hoops for all goals (Base Bid). o Temporary 6' chain link fence with lock to be installed around court perimeter during construction. o Include all necessary erosion control measures. o Restoration of site to include grading, topsoil and seed. Seeding to include straw matting with jute netting or seed with blown loose straw. WILLIAMS COURTS (EXHIBIT B) o Removal and replacement of asphalt basketball courts to include surface coating and striping. New court dimensions provided on attached Exhibit B. Base bid price to include paving 40'x40' grassy area in center of courts. Profile to match new courts. (4) half courts to be striped. Actual court dimensions to be determined post-bid due to proximity of trees/landscape in the area. Court profile to include 8"of compacted 53s, geo textile reinforcement, 2.5" HMA Base and 1.5" HMA surface plus surface coating and striping (see attached Exhibit D detail). Playing surface to be flat and sheet drain to allow positive drainage. o Provide deduct Alternate #3 price for paving 40'x40' grassy area in center (leave as grass). o Addition of 90 LF of 5' wide concrete walk. Add ramps if needed. o Uncover metal "lids" under goals for Owner review. o Remove and salvage goals, backboards and hoops for reinstallation by Contractor. o Temporary 6' chain link fence with lock to be installed around court perimeter during construction. o Include all necessary erosion control measures. o Restoration of site to include grading, topsoil and seed. Seeding to include straw matting with jute netting or seed with blown loose straw. A one hundred percent (100%) labor and materials performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. A five percent (5%) bid security in the form of an acceptable bid bond or certified check shall be submitted with all bids. Bonds shall be payable to the Town of Brownsburg.
