Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. A bond in a reliable surety company authorized to do business in the of Alabama must be given by the successful bidder, such bond to be for the sum of 100% of the contract price conditioned for the prompt and faithful performance of contract terms and a surety bond in the amount equal to 50% of the contract prices as security for the payment for all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with the contract. The City of Montgomery adopted Resolution 63-2021, an administrative plan for a 30% minimum participation goal for disadvantaged, minority and women owned business enterprises for public works projects.
