On-Call Asphalt Milling Services The initial contract will be for a one (1) year period from the date of the award. This contract can be renewed by mutual consent for 4 additional one-year terms. The maximum term shall not exceed 5 years from the date of award. In accordance with Civil Code 9550, if the bid exceeds $25,000, the Successful Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid as well as a separate Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total. Scope of Services The City of Santa Barbara Streets Operations Division needs asphalt-milling services to assist with their production paving and asphalt repair crews. The street repairs consist of full width overlays, drive lane paving, deeplift repairs, and point repairs. The City requires the existing street asphalt pavement to be milled at different depths and sizes. The depths and widths will vary depending on the condition of the street. The Contractor will be responsible for work as directed with the paving crew by milling out the marked areas on the street with different sized machines and various sized grinding drums. The Contractor shall also provide a mechanical broom sweeper to remove all grindings out of milled areas.
