Award amount is $332,373.25.** Borough of Chatham disclaims responsibility for late receipt of bids which are not submitted in person (i.e., mail, FedEx, etc.). All bids submitted, either in person or by mail must have the sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside "BID FOR - Van Doren Avenue Improvements". Significant Items of Work Include: HMA Milling, 3" Or Less; Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, 2" Thick and Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick. Borough of Chatham reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid received, and to reject any and/or all bids as in its judgment may best serve the interest of the Borough. The Borough shall have a maximum of sixty (60) days from the receipt of bids to either accept or reject them. Proposals for the contracts will be accepted only from Bidders who have been properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the specifications. All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and guarantee pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21, in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, not to exceed $20,000; a certificate from a surety company acceptable to the Borough pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-22; a statement of corporate ownership pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2; a listing of subcontractors pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16; and an acknowledgment of the bidder's receipt of any notice of revisions or addenda to the advertisement or bid documents. Performance and payment bonds for the full amount of this project are required. The successful bidder is required to comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, which include, but are not limited to, the business registration requirements of N.J.S.A. 52:32-44; the public works contractor registration requirements of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq.; the anti-discrimination requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., P.L. 1975, c. 127, and N.J.A.C. 17:27; and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, (42 U.S.C. 12101 et seq.). roposers are advised that all correspondence, questions, requests for information, etc., relating to these Proposal Documents shall be directed, IN WRITING, to the Borough Engineer: ATTN: Mr. David C.
