Upgrades to six (6) existing sludge blanket contact clarifiers to achieve an overall increase in settled water capacity of 5-7 MGD. Each clarifier has two (2) separate basins and a common distribution and collection trough. Upgrades being considered include the addition of tube settlers above the present inclined plates to transform the existing Super Pulsator clarifiers to Ultra Pulsator clarifiers, installing covers or shade structure over the clarifiers to reduce algae growth, modification of the plates in the sludge concentrator trough to provide proper sludge removal from under the plates based on the Ultra Pulsator operational requirements, additional piping to interconnect all settled water troughs for even flow distribution to the filters across all treatment trains while performing filter backwashing, as well as various supplementary safety and accessibility features for improved operability and maintainability. The Offeror will be expected to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the existing clarifiers, including but not limited to structural integrity, operability and maintainability - including workplace safety, ventilation, lighting, etc., mechanical and electrical systems, etc., for consideration in the scope of the Project.Construction of one (1), new 5 MG Clearwell with permanent concrete baffles (not curtain walls). Construction of one (1), new surge tank and valve vault structure adjacent to the existing high service pump station #2. The Offeror will be expected to provide full range of professional and construction services typically associated with a project of this type including, but not limited to: preliminary evaluation and engineering, permitting, design, regulatory approvals, certifications, construction, commissioning and closeout. The total budget for the Scope of Work referenced is currently estimated at $20-25 million dollars. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
