Work Location:Lynchburg District 50 Highway Shop Road, Farmville, Va 23901 PROJECT CODE 501-B4501-008 Sealed bids are invited for the removal of existing roofing and installation of new roofing for the Roof Replacement at the Hampden Sydney AHQ Truck Shed (FAACS #B3190131) at the VDOT Lynchburg District Hampden Sydney AHQ, 50 Highway Shop Road, Farmville, VA 23901. The project is generally described as the removal of an existing deteriorated roof down to the substrate, to be replaced with new standing seam metal roofing. Roofing replacement will include but is not limited to removal of the existing roofing and installing new metal roofing, underlayment, gutters, downspouts, facias and related roofing accessories. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as follows: the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications plus such successive Additive Bid Items as the Owner in its discretion decides to award in the manner set forth in Paragraph 12 of the Instructions to Bidders
