All work associated with building of a new satellite fire station and related site development work for the Washington Fire Department, in Washington, Missouri. Site remediation work in accordance with recommendations in the Geotechnical Report provided within the Construction Documents with area limits examined and specified by a third-party testing agency shall be completed as necessary with Contractual remediation allowances (project quantity type allowances number 1 and 2) and a general contingency allowance (allowance number 3). Bid Security is required in the amount of five (5) percent of Proposal and shall be made payable to Washington Fire Department. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and may except that which is most advantageous to Washington Fire Department, to waive informalities in bidding, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
