This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of Bensalem Township, in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to Bensalem Township. The scope of work generally includes clearing and grubbing, removing existing inlets and installing new inlets with associated pipe replacements, minor E&S items and associated items of work. Bids will have a tentative award date of December 13, 2024. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by Bensalem Township.
