The project consists of pavement removal, installation of concrete median refuge island, installation of posts and mast arm assemblies and poles with rapid rectangular flashing beacons, sidewalk removal and replacement, signing and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the construction documents. The proposed improvement consists of installation of concrete median refuge island and postmounted and mast-arm-mounted Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs). The work also consists of pavement removal, sidewalk replacement, signing, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described herein. This work shall include surface preparation, powder coated finish application and packaging of new galvanized steel traffic signal mast arm poles and posts assemblies. All work associated with applying the painted finish shall be performed at the vendor's facility for the pole assembly or post or at a painting facility approved by the Engineer. Traffic signal mast arm shrouds and post bases shall also be painted the same color as the pole assemblies and posts, including pedestrian posts. This work shall consist of furnishing, installing, maintaining, relocating for various states of construction and eventually removing temporary informational signs. Included in this item may be ground mount signs, skid mount signs, truss mount signs, bridge mount signs, and overlay sign panels which cover portions of existing signs.
