Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project will involve the following: installation of joint utility trench; removal and installation of new storm sewer; installation of subdrain; removal of existing and installation of new sanitary sewer; abandonment, capping and removal of existing water main; installation of new water main, hydrants, fittings and services; removal of existing and installation of street and sidewalk pavement; installation of retaining walls and traffic signal systems. The project is located on Court Street between Muscatine Avenue and 1st Avenue in Iowa City, Iowa. In addition, a separate sealed envelope shall be submitted containing a completed Bidder Status Form and a bid security executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the State of Iowa, in the sum of 10% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price 2025 Stages 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B: Joint Utility Trench Early Start Date: February 10, 2025 Late Start Date: March 17, 2025 Joint Utility Trench Completion Date: August 22, 2025 Liquidated Damages: $1,000 per day Liquidated Damages will accrue each calendar day the contractor is working beyond the Joint Utility Trench Completion Date listed above, with no limit to the amount of damages that can accrue. Joint utility trench work shall be completed prior to start of 2025-2026 school year.
