The City of Key Colony Beach, Florida is requesting qualifications from Florida-registered, licensed professional architectural and engineering firms or teams to design an expansion of City Hall. Firms interested in providing Architectural and Engineering Services (A/E) should have proven experience designing various government buildings. 2.1 The total area of the building will be approximately 2,927 square feet. Preliminary design plans, Attached hereto as Exhibit 1: Preliminary City Hall Architecture Plans, offer an overview of how the expansion will enhance the building to meet the City's needs. The City wishes for City Hall to have two (2) floors. The first floor will be approximately one thousand three hundred and seventy-seven (1,377) total square feet and shall have lobby, reception area, and elevator leading to the second floor. Additionally, the first floor will have four (4) offices, a conference room, a second reception, vestibule, and an elevator machine room. The second floor will be approximately one thousand five hundred and fifty (1,550) square feet and shall have a lobby, meeting room, restrooms, secure storage, and various other facilities. The building shall provide a covered walkway and entry. The City seeks to further refine and develop these plans to maximize the effective use of available space. As of May 13, 2025, the architectural documents are sixty percent completed for this project. An architect has been identified and information regarding the general contractor is not available. A firm construction timeline has not been established.
