Renovation of a fire / police facility in South Grafton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The Town of Grafton is soliciting sealed bids for the replacement of four overhead door at Fire Station Three in South Grafton. This work includes the removal and disposal of the existing overhead doors, and the furnishment and installation of replacement doors. As well as all necessary wiring, hardware installation, and any other necessary accessory work. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Remove and properly dispose of the four (4) existing overhead doors - Remove two (2) overhead doors operators - Remove the associated hardware, door tracks, track supports and incidental items - Disconnect all electrical connections to the operators and operation buttons and remove in their entirety - Install four (4) steel insulated overhead doors. Doors are to include new high impact glass panels in two rows. Doors are to be installed on heavy duty industrial duty galvanized steel tracks with all required hardware and related components - Rollers shall be ball bearing designed for high cycle - Doors shall have torsion spring counterbalance assembly with vinyl perimeter weather stripping - All four (4) doors shall come with a factory finish and color chosen by the Town of Grafton Fire Department - Selected vendors are responsible for all measurements prior to ordering the new doors and for the proper fit in the existing opening Replacement of door operators shall include four (4) remotes per door being replaced, all wiring and electrical components, and permits as required by the Grafton Building Department - Connect the new door operators to the existing electrical supply for a complete and functional "turn-key" complete system. - Installation shall include a safety eye sensors installed for safe operation at each door - System shall have Red/Green light to indicate when the door reaches the open position - Vendor shall be responsible for all installation, testing and making all connections for each overhead door to be safe and operable - The selected vendor will be required to submit shop drawings and all other required documents for approval prior to ordering the doors and equipment. As Station Three is still an active Fire Station, work will need to be coordinated with the OPM and the Fire Chief so that operations are not affected. Access to all fire apparatus and the station must not be impeded. All demolition materials will need to be removed from the site each day. The Fire Station will need to be properly secured at the end of each day, and once a door is removed, its replaced must be installed and its operation confirmed the same day.
