This project consists of installing four (4) new 15kV 480 Volt electrical distribution substations in the Power Plant, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers, along with new Motor Control Centers (MCCs), and the required 15kV feeders from the existing Power Plant Vac-Clad 15kV switchgear and existing 15kV Power Plant DHP switchgear. This new equipment will replace existing obsolete electrical equipment. Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed to the Design Professional. Bid Estimate: $4,660,000.00 Project Information: Substantial Completion: 765 Days (Approximately February 6, 2027) Final Completion: 825 Days (Approximately April 7, 2027) Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses as specified in the Project Requirements.
