Renovation of a mixed-use development in Juneau, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK. This Project consists of The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Removal and infill of existing clerestory window openings with new framing and insulation. Infill work will include installation of new siding, weather barrier and vapor retarder at the clerestory level. A new exterior door will be installed to provide code required access to the concealed space of the equipment platform area. Existing louvers will be removed and reinstalled as required for reconstruction of the exterior walls. 2. Installation of a new above ground storage tank (AST) and associated piping and site preparation. The work will include related electrical and DDC controls in support of the mechanical work. A retaining wall and slab will be installed with the new AST. 3. The work will also include an additive alternate for the removal of the existing underground storage tank (UST), any associated soil remediation, and replacement of the building water main. Please refer to Alternates specification section for additional information. SITE OF WORK. The site of the WORK is Augustus Brown Pool, Juneau, Alaska ARCHITECT'S ESTIMATE RANGE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. COMPLETION OF WORK. The WORK must be completed by Substantial Completion July 31, 2025 Final Completion August 14, 2025 DEADLINE FOR BIDDER QUESTIONS: 4:30pm Alaska Time on December 5, 2024. BID SECURITY. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid, payable to the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is provided as described in Section 00100, Article 12, at the time of bid. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE. All contractors are required to have a current Alaska Contractor's License, prior to submitting a Bid, and a current Alaska Business License prior to award. BID TO REMAIN OPEN. The Bidder shall guarantee the Bid for a period of 120 Days from the date of Bid opening. Any component of the Bid including additive alternates may be awarded anytime during the 120 Days. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, and to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as it may best serve the interests of the OWNER. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
