These documents constitute an Invitation to Bid to and request for qualifications from General Contractors for the construction of the project described below. A. Summary Project Description: New 4 Classroom addition to Wright City R-II School District at East Elementary School of approximately 5,300 sf. The addition will include 4 classrooms, a pair of restrooms and a single restroom, mechanical room, storage room and corridor. D. Required Construction Start: Determined by contractor. E. Required Substantial Completion date for the Addition to East Elementary School: No later than August 2025. F. The Owner reserves the right to change the schedule or terminate the entire procurement process at any time. A. All bidders in response to this bid shall provide as a security a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid amount. All bid guarantees shall be drawn payable to the Owner and must be submitted with bid as guarantee that Bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds that are required if awarded to the contractor. Failure of successful bidder to furnish any required Performance and Payment Bonds will result in forfeiture of the Bid Guarantee. A. The contractor awarded the project shall furnish to the Owner a Performance guarantee in an amount equal to 100% of the contract sum. Payment Bond - the Contractor shall furnish to the District a labor and materials payment bond acceptable in the amount equal to 100% of the total contract sum. All guarantees will contain provisions guaranteeing faithful performance of the prevailing wage requirements set forth. Guarantees shall be furnished prior to starting the project. The guarantees shall be in the form of a Bond or Certified Check. Said guarantee shall provide that it will not be cancelled, materially altered or changed for the contract period.
