Site work for a water / sewer project in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
There will be no LBE bid discounts for this contract. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 10.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with certified San Francisco Micro LBEs, Small LBEs, and/or PUC LBEs. Approximately 40% of the total contract value will be used for purchasing large diameter valves, pipe and appurtenances. In addition, constraints such as the location of the work sites (spread across San Joaquin Valley from Tracy to Oakdale) and the construction timeframe (limited to 60-100 days during a yearly water system shut down) reduces the number of subcontractors available to perform work on the contract. Bidders are hereby advised that the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded must be certified by the Contract Monitoring Division as being in compliance with the Equal Benefits Provisions of Article 131 of the City's Labor and Employment Code within two weeks after notification of award by the SFPUC General Manager. SFPUC invites Bidders to participate in the Social Impact Partnership (SIP) Program. A Bidder may choose to participate in this Program if its Bid is equal to or greater than $25 million.
