SCOPE OF GOODS AND/OR SERVICES The intent of this bid is to secure firm fixed pricing for Bryan Boiler Tube Replacement. The performance of awarded Bidder shall be in accordance with the terms of the specifications and at the quality standards of service set forth herein. This Specification establishes the minimum requirements for this solicitation, listed and described in the body of these specifications, to be used as noted. To include but not limited to: General: Awarded Bidder will supply labor, parts, supplies and materials to remove and replace sixty-three (63) Bryan CLM 210 boiler tubes with new tubes and hardware. The retube includes cleaning the boiler inside of the top and bottom drums before the tubes are installed. The retube should include the clamps and studs holding the tubes down in place. The awarded bidder shall remove and replace the 3/4 -inch air bleeder on the tank next to the boiler. Bidder Responsibility: The proper repair of a boiler tube failure must be performed by a respondent with the necessary experience in retubing boiler and pressure vessels in accordance with the following codes Chapter 69A-51 and 69A-70, Florida Administrative Code. ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, ASME CSD-1 Code. ASME B31.1 Power Piping and the National Boiler and Inspection Code. Respondent shall supply a list of at least three (3) similar projects successfully completed by the Respondent within the last ten (10) years, immediately preceding the due date of bids for this Invitation for Bids. Failure to provide this information may be cause for rejection of the response. Two (2) projects must have been complete in the last five (5) years One (1) project must have been completed between five (5) and ten (10) years ago The basis for boiler tube replacement are as follows: Assess the failure, perform any preliminary testing, and develop an approved repair plan with an Authorized Inspector that will be acceptable to the Florida Building Code and BPS Building Official and the Boiler and Heater Supervisor. Remove the failed tube and determine the probable failure mechanism to assist in operational changes that could prevent future failures. Assess the condition of the tube end connection locations (tube sheets, steam drum, mud drum, etc.) and perform any additional NDE as required. Installation of the new boiler tube in accordance with the code requirements (rolled, beaded, welded, etc.). Perform a pressure test in accordance with the code requirements and any additional NDE to verify the integrity of the repair. Provide the BPS Boiler and Heater Supervisor with a boiler condition assessment and install a repair plate on the boiler.
