The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting electronic Bids for building and improvements to an existing 4,146 ft (0.78-mile) dirt, gravel, and vegetated administrative access road. The project consists of clearing and grubbing, drainage feature installations, road-base installation, road surface, grading and compaction of riding service. A bid guarantee or bond is not required. The project generally involves replacement and new installation of culvert pipe, road base construction, road resurfacing, grading, drainage turnout and related work to establish approximately 4,147 linear feet of access roadway in Smith Township, Washington County. Existing roadway is to be cleared, grubbed, and stump ground along roadway in its entirety. The existing roadway base is to be striped of sod, regraded, and resurfaced (Handicap 2). Handicap 1 segment has existing milling base. New culverts are to be installed. Existing ditches and turnouts are to be cleaned and reshaped. 180' of side ditching, two French mattresses (Handicap 2), and 240 feet of culvert pipe are to be installed. Base aggregate to be deposited, shaped, and compacted to an average depth of 10" and 14' width. Surface aggregate to be deposited, shaped, and compacted to an average depth of 6" and 12' width.
