Volunteer Fire Department Addition Project The Volunteer Fire Department Addition Project includes the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide and construct an addition onto the existing fire department Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Township Engineer. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price, made payable to Jefferson Township. The bid envelope must be clearly marked Volunteer Fire Department Addition Project. Jefferson Township reserves the rights to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bid proposals or any portion thereof. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements concerning the payment of not less than the prevailing wage and salary rate provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 for the Volunteer Fire Department Addition Project. Awarded bidder shall provide a 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, and 10% Maintenance Bond for the project. Liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. Bids may be held by Jefferson Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
