The Engineer's estimate is $74,517.20. The final completion date for the project is June 30, 2025. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check, or a bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total amount bid, made payable to the City of Medina, Ohio as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the City within thirty (30) days and its performance secured by a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, and in default thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the City of Medina as liquidated damages. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided by the City and placed in a sealed envelope with the name of the Project, the name of the bidder and the bid date and time clearly marked on it. The City of Medina reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. There will be approximately 44,860 lineal feet of joints and cracks to be sealed, of this amount, the bid includes saw cutting/routing of approximately 6,729 lineal feet of joints and cracks prior to applying joint sealant. The balance remaining (approximately 38,131 lineal feet) must be cleaned and prepared but do not have to be saw cut/routed.
