Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Glidden, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The work includes the construction of a small addition and remodel to the existing park structure, located at 325 East 3rd Street, Glidden, Iowa 51443, together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The Bid Alternate includes the construction of an open-air canopy structure, approximately 29 feet by 15 feet, to be attached to the east wall of the existing park structure. The scope of work includes construction of concrete pier foundations, timber framing, and standing seam metal roof cladding. The structure height and roof slope shall match that of the existing park structure. Est. Value Notes: $355,500.00 PERFORMANCE, PAYMENT, AND MAINTENANCE BONDS: Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to 100% of its contract price. Said bond shall be issued by a responsible surety and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City of Glidden from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of two years from and after acceptance of the contract Question Deadline 12/31/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing to the Issuing Office.
