Renovation of a detention facility in Seven Sisters Falls, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Public Service Delivery, Asset Management, seeks to select a qualified Contractor to provide plumbing water control systems services (including all labour, materials, supplies and equipment) for the replacement of the I-CON controllers located in the MSU East at the Milner Ridge Correctional Centre in the rural municipality of Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba. The work involves the removal and salvage of the existing I-CON controls and the subsequent supply and installation of new wireless I-CON controllers and the supply of new operating software and computers. The building is in daily use and the contractor shall be required to coordinate the work while allowing for ongoing facility routine. Each Bid must be accompanied by an electronic, digitally verifiable Bid Bond written on Manitobas standard bid bond form (Form D7) or on a form satisfactory to Manitoba. The amount of the Bid Bond shall be ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Total Bid Price, expressed as a percentage. Commercial General Liability insurance: i) This policy shall provide coverage against claims for personal injury, bodily injury or death, or damage to third party property as a result of the construction of the project, with minimum limits of coverage of five million dollars ($5,000,000) per occurrence and with a property damage deductible of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) maximum. ii) The policy shall be endorsed as necessary to cover products; completed operations; contingent employer liability, and including shoring, blasting, excavating, underpinning, demolition, pile driving and caisson work, work below ground surface, tunneling and grading, as applicable. The coverage shall also include cross liability, premises and operations, blanket contractual, extended bodily injury, broad form property damage and non-owned liability.
