Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bothell, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
CC CC1330 Biology Lab Conversion. The Project consists of casework and fume hood modifications needed to convert Cascadia College Building CC1 Room CC1330 from a chemistry lab into a biology lab. Work includes but is not limited to the following 1. Systematically disassemble base cabinets to create knee space for seated lab work. Provide new casework in these locations consisting of side and back panels and pencil drawers. Leave existing counters in place and protect from damage. 2. Provide new casework cubbies below existing work counters. Leave existing counters in place and protect from damage. 3. Systematically disassemble elevated service bars consisting of wood framing, epoxy counters and supports, light fixtures, and power receptacles. Salvage portions of epoxy caps and supports for reuse. Leave in place central service pedestals. 4. Modify existing central service pedestals as necessary to patch finishes exposed by demolition of service bars and to provide new power receptacles. Modify epoxy cap on central service pedestals using salvaged pieces from service bar caps. 5. Remove existing, and provide new, rubber base at island casework in the area of work. Leave existing rubber base at casework around perimeter of the room in place. 6. Salvage existing fume hood and turn over to Owner. Disconnect services as necessary. Relocate existing ADA fume hood to location of salvaged fume hood, including attaching it to all services. Cap abandoned service connections and ductwork, and provide rubber base at wall in former ADA fume hood location. Provide new ductwork as necessary to connect ADA fume hood in new location. 7. Replace overhead light fixtures and add additional light switches. 8. Paint wall services of entire Room CC1330. 9. Work includes minor mechanical modifications in adjacent Room CC1320. Conditions for bonds: Payment and performance bonds for 100% of the Contract Award Amount, plus state sales tax, shall be furnished for the Work, using the Payment Bond and Performance Bond form published by and available from the American Institute of Architects AIA form A312. Prior to execution of a Change Order that, cumulatively with previous Change Orders, increases the Contract Award Amount by 15% or more, the Contractor shall provide either new payment and performance bonds for the revised Contract Sum, or riders to the existing payment and performance bonds increasing the amount of the bonds. The Contractor shall likewise provide additional bonds or riders when subsequent Change Orders increase the Contract Sum by 15% or more. Term of insurance coverage: Contractor shall maintain the following insurance coverage during the Work and for one year after Final Acceptance. Contractor shall also maintain the following insurance coverage during the performance of any corrective Work required by Section 5.16 Question Deadline 12/31/2024 Any prospective Bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must submit a request in writing to the Architect/Engineer (A/E) seven (7) calendar days before the bid due date or by logging into the DES Public Procurement Portal Bonfire
