Renovation of a fire / police facility in West Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The City of West Sacramento is accepting sealed responses for Fire Station 45 Water Heater Upgrade Question Deadline 12/10/2024 at 5:00 PM PT , Question Response Deadline:December 12, 2024, 5:00pm Project-specific questions must be submitted through the Citys Procurement systems at online, The City will post responses to Bidder questions through the Procurement system. The work of this contract includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, rework, and services necessary to remove, dispose of, and replace two existing natural-gas-powered water heater tanks with two new natural-gas-powered water heater tanks of the same capacity and recovery rate. Contractor to confirm that new tank specifications and building codes are satisfied by using the existing gas service and air in/out pipe sizes and materials. Contractor to confirm that new tank specifications and building codes are satisfied by using existing electrical service. All testing and Commissioning to be included. A Floor Drain is to be added by the Contractor in an appropriate, centrally located place within the Utility Room and plumbed to the existing Janitorial Floor Sink in the corner of the room complying with all applicable Plumbing Codes. Cutting into the concrete flooring will be necessary to plumb the floor drain to the existing corner Floor Sink. Also included in this contract is the replacement of the flooring and coving within the utility room where the existing water heater tanks are currently installed, and the new heater tanks are to be installed. The City has in its possession and will provide to the contractor the necessary flooring and adhesive, but not the coving. The contractor is to provide and install new coving of appropriate and City approved size and color for the utility room. Work Phasing is critical to this project. This facility is a mission critical Fire Station. The Fire Station cannot be without hot water service. Hot water service must be maintained during the replacement of the two hot water heater tanks. Liquidated Damages may be imposed if hot water service is interrupted to the Station. A complete disclosure from the Contractor of the steps and sequencing needed to accomplish the tank replacement without service interruption is mandatory. Contractor must submit a work schedule and a sequence plan (Work Plan and Schedule...See Bid Submittal, #4. Response) with their Bid. Contractor Selection Date:January 15, 2025
