This project includes improvements to Gay Street corridor from Matlack Street to Darlington Street to increase safety and improve operations during open air events in the Borough or West Chester, Chester County, PA. Improvements include the installation of Barrier Type HT2 (IWA14-1:2003 Bollard V/7200[N2A]/64/90:0.1), blank-out sign, ITS portable dynamic message signs, fixed bollards, VMS portable fond ups signs, gateway piers and lighting, and ADA ramps. Questions Due Date: Mar 17th 2025, 10:00 AM EDT Upon award of a contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the project cost is $25,000 or above for public work. This bid is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the PA L&I Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract Documents. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however Owner reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law.
