The Town of Grafton is seeking sealed proposals for the removal of the existing culvert (82"x59"x55' long) and headwalls and installation of a CONCRETE BOX CULVERT on Hinkley Brook Road, Grafton, VT, TH 6. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, tools, appurtenances, equipment, traffic control, erosion control, and services required to replace the existing culvert as shown on two plan sheets entitled: Hinkley Brook Road. All materials and construction shall conform to State of Vermont Agency of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction 2024, and its latest revisions. The box culvert must match the natural stream profile. Guardrails are to be installed on the east and west side of Hinkley Brook Road, per plan, and must be anchored. The culvert should allow for guard rail attachment on both ends. A full road closure is allowed for construction. Bids should include how many days the contractor anticipates closing the road for construction. The road closure may not exceed 10 working days (2 weeks) from beginning to end. The contractor is responsible for notifying the Town of road closure dates. The Town will then notify EMS, the Highway Department, etc.
