Reference Number 0000283048 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/12/30 03:00:00 PM EST The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is a non share capital corporation without share capital. Among its responsibilities are the management, operation and maintenance of Toronto Pearson International Airport. The GTAA is looking to enter into an agreement with a Handling Company that shall be responsible for providing safe and efficient baggage handling services at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Please note that the GTAA reserves the right to amend the scope of services from time to time. The below is the current scope of services that will be required when the contract takes effect however maybe reduced or increased during the term of the contract. The Handling Company shall amend pricing as scope is removed or increased. The GTAA shall not be financially liable for any layoff costs or other charges for any scope changes that would result in a reduced head count or a reduction in the Handling Company's equipment required to provide the Services. Below is a list of different scopes of work that the Handling Company staff could be assigned to. This list covers common scopes of work required but the GTAA is not limited to this list and may request to staff to work other scopes of work identified later. 1.1 Baggage Resilience Teams The Baggage Resilience Teams are responsible for supporting the overall baggage system integrity. They will be tasked with supporting any contingencies that are required due to system related outages, airline or ground handler challenges, hygiene monitoring, etc. 1.2 Capital Construction Support Teams The Capital Construction Support Teams will be brought in during any capital construction projects that require staff to support contingency baggage handling. 1.3 Limited Recirculation Programs The Limited Recirculation Program is typically implemented during peak periods. It requires contingency staff to manually deliver bags that are sorted to a default lateral to support baggage flow. 1.4 Pier to Pier Baggage Movement Programs During peak periods, there may be a requirement to move bags from one pier to another due to lack of available laterals for sortation. This work would require the Supplier to provide teams with equipment (trucks, carts, etc) to move bags from one pier to another.
