Renovation of an educational facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project is generally described as: Generator and Electrical IT Upgrade includes, but is not limited to, expanding the existing MDF into the adjacent room; upgrading HVAC system; new network racks and ladder system; grounding busbar system for new and existing equipment; electrical outlets; a reinforced concrete pad to support a generator system; a new natural gas generator, generator controller, and generator enclosure; network equipment for the generator; a transfer switch and generatorassociated electrical panel; new outlets connected to the generator electrical panel per the design plans; fiber optic cables from MDF to a location inside the new generator enclosure; and electrical connections to new and existing electrical panels. The new system will meet all District Design Standards and Guidelines and Department of Technology Standards. All construction shall occur after school hours and on weekends. No system outage shall occur during school hours. A dual system will function until the cutover to the new system is completed. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. The District has a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") Participation Goal Program ("the DVBE Program") which establishes a three percent (3%) Participation Goal for DVBEs. All Bidders are required by the District, pursuant to the DVBE Program, to submit DVBE Worksheets that confirm two (2) advertisements were published at least 14 days prior to bid opening. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Education to the responsible Bidder who submitted the lowest priced responsive Total Base Bid Proposal. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. Question Deadline 12/27/2024
