Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Walla Walla, Washington. Completed plans call for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Bus Stop ADA Improvements project consists of the construction of thirteen bus boarding and alighting areas, site work including concrete, asphalt, and landscaping removal; crushed rock and concrete placement; and site restoration. The construction project also requires traffic control for all work. Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Valley Transit for the construction of the Bus Stop ADA Improvements project. Work to be performed includes: removing the existing sidewalk, signage, and benches; placing new concrete sidewalks with boarding and alighting areas; constructing a retaining wall; and relocating signage and benches. Valley Transit is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. All work performed on the project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of such bid proposal. Make checks payable to the Valley Transit. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Valley Transit. Valley Transit reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding 60 calendar days.
