Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and power facility.

Plan scope includes site development work for proposed megapack station. The site development scope includes but is not limited to: survey layout, erosion control bmp, clearing, stripping, stockpiling, borrow, grading (excavation and compacted backfill), trenching, undercut, subgrade preparation, stone paving, fencing, gates, concrete equipment pad, erosion control mat, seeding and mulch. We understand a new energy storage station will be constructed at the former East Chattanooga Substation site located at 3008 Curtis Street in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The proposed energy storage station will consist of three, 41-foot by 16-foot concrete pads which will each support two Tesla Megapacks and a 480v switchgear. One, 41-foot by 8-foot pad will be constructed to support a single Tesla Megapack. The station will also include three, 10-foot by 20-foot concrete pads which will each support two EPB transformers. One 10-foot square pad will be constructed for a single transformer. We understand the double megapacks proposed for this project will weigh about 80 tons. Therefore, we anticipate that the average foundation contact pressures will be less than 500 psf.
