Renovation of a library in Amarillo, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The City of Amarillo is soliciting bids for material, labor and equipment to replace the carpeting at North Branch Library per the bid scope of work. Questions Due Date: Dec 23rd 2024, 5:00 PM CST. The City of Amarillo intends to replace the carpeting at North Branch Library, located at 1504 N.E. 24th St. Amarillo, TX 79107 New carpeting shall replace all existing carpeting, excluding carpeting under stationary shelving. Breakroom and hallway shall be replaced with LVT. New carpeting and cove base shall be installed in the "Meeting Room". The carpeting shall be installed over existing VCT. Contractor shall remove and then replace all cove base in areas where carpet is replaced (cove base behind wall shelving will be excluded). Contractor shall be responsible for moving furniture, coordinating with the ODR is mandatory. The City of Amarillo to move computers. Contractor shall be responsible for removal of old carpet and cove base, along with all other trash and debris Contractor is responsible for all measurements Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary preparation and repairs to floor for proper installation of carpeting and all trades associated with installation. There shall be a minimum of 15% of product for attic stock to include carpeting and LVT. Scope - This work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and all services necessary to complete installation. 3. Cove base shall be removed and reinstalled with new cove base. Any damage while removing or installing cove base shall be repaired by contractor at no extra cost to the City of Amarillo. 6. All seams shall be cut in accordance with manufacturer's recommendation, using proper tools. 4. Floors must be dry, clean, and free of oil, grease, paint, ect, that would interfere with future condition of carpeting or treads. 7. Seams shall be pressed together with a suitable tool to produce the best possible even top pile width-to-width, seams shall be rolled with a 100-pound roller. 5. Contractor will install carpet flush to all stationary shelving units and under bottom shelves at least 4", shelf must maintain same functionality. 1. Contractor shall remove and install carpeting and LVT during regular working hours and shall coordinate with the ODR. 2. Contractor shall remove all carpet, pad, glue, tack strips and all other debris from site.
