Renovation of a military facility in Clearwater, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

SCOPE OF WORK: The medical's building HVAC systems RTU1 and RTU2 current exterior duct covering system requires replacement. The current design has failed due to being installed incorrectly upon initial construction. This inferior duct covering system has been further compromised due to two recent named 2024 hurricanes, Helene and Milton. This building is identified as building #19, see Exhibit 1 - Site Map. Exhibit 2 - Photos illustrates the current applied duct coverings and recent hurricane damage. A more appropriate commercial HVAC industry accepted covering system for this type of HVAC design is required. The following covering system is being sought; An applied foiled 2" sheathing board applied to the current galvanized ducting then to be covered with a prefabricated UV resistant aluminum weathering surface, self-adhering, sheet type protective membrane. Exhibit 3 illustrates the CG's intended finished concept for this project. The data sheets included in this exhibit are product examples discovered when conducting market research for this project. All products shall be installed IAW the manufacturers instructions. All product datasheets are to be presented to the Coast Guard (CG) for approval when submitting this bid. All work completed by the contractor shall be warranted for 12 months upon the CG notification of accepting the project as being complete. The following list is of minimal required tasking made known at the initial evaluation of this project. Additional tasking may result from findings made upon discovery of the current duct coverings being removed. Those additional discoveries made beyond the proceeding listed tasks shall be brought to the attention of the COR before a modification to the initial award can be made. 1. Demolish the current duct coverings for both RTU1 and RTU2. a. Remove both the aluminum jacket and duct board. 2. Conduct inspection of exposed galvanized ducting system to ensure newly exposed ducting is sealed IAW SMACNA processes. a. Conduct repairs to the ducting to include replacement of sheet metal, fasteners, and the application of mastic. b. Allow the CG to inspect the ducting before it being covered with sheathing board. 3. Re-insulate all galvanized ducting with 2" sheathing board. a. Ensure newly installed urethane board provides proper pitch for water runoff. 4. Apply self-adhering membrane to all sheathing board surfaces. 5. Ensure roof curbs for both RTU's are appropriately covered and sealed at points of contact between sheaving board and roof curb surfaces. 6. Ensure RTU chassis contact points at sheathing board and chassis are sealed appropriately. Page 6 of 6 7.
