Question Acceptance Deadline - 2024/12/11 12:00:00 PM EST Exhibition Place is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms experienced in high voltage infrastructure planning and design. The successful firm will provide full consulting services that include design, liaise with sub-consultants and contractors, estimate construction costs, assist in tendering, prepare tender documents, contract administration including project close out and providing support during warranty phase. This will involve the provision of ongoing advisory services pertaining to all matters within the scope of this project to the designated Board Representative. The Board's objectives in issuing this RFP are as follows: Engagement of a qualified consultant, experienced in this type of underground electrical infrastructure improvement and high voltage feeder replacement project; Develop a scope of work including providing support during tendering phase and all construction tender documents (including design specifications & drawings), by March 1, 2025; Complete award notification to the successful contractor by April 15, 2025; Achieve substantial completion by July 15, 2025; and Achieve total project completion by July 30, 2025. The intent of this RFP process is to establish an agreement with a suitable Consultant who is experienced in providing high voltage infrastructure upgrade services. The selected successful firm will provide full consulting services which include reviewing existing site conditions, rerouting of High Voltage Cable Feed, civil work involving construction of new duct bank, producing utility drawings and their submission, approvals and coordination with Toronto Hydro, estimation of construction costs, assist in tendering, produce tender documents, permit application, contract administration, commissioning and project close out. As part of the scope of work, the Consultant shall: Provide full professional design and contract administration services. Be responsible for retaining any specialty sub-consultants as necessary, to carry out the full extent of the services described in this RFP. Be responsible for the client consultations, scheduling locates to confirm interferences, obtaining background information or establishing existing site conditions and dimensions to complete the scope of services as outlined in this RFP document. Examine the site; provide Auto-CAD drawings and hard copies for the High Voltage Feeders A34T and A35T West Replacement meeting the Ontario Building Code, Toronto Hydro, standards, and all other legislation and regulations applicable.
