The following legal notice is to receive bids for the improvement of McClain Road, from approximately 400 feet south of Fort Shawnee Industrial Drive to Buckeye Road for a length of approximately 3059 feet. Also included is the improvement of the McClain Road and Hanthorn Road intersection and the improvement of approximately 250 feet of Hanthorn Road in Perry and Shawnee Townships, Allen County, Ohio. Within these limits, approximately 2309 feet will be milled and paved while approximately 1000 feet will reconstruct the outside portions of the pavement to create a proposed 24 feet to 36 feet wide pavement with two foot wide stone shoulders. Included at the intersection is new curb and gutter, catch basins and storm sewer. New signing and pavement markings will be installed throughout the project limits. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bids will be accepted only from Contractors who perform at least 30% of the cost of the project and are prequalified for that work with the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation, per Section 102.01 AS MODIFIED HEREIN, of the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation Construction and Material Specifications, dated January 1, 2023.
