ILDOT - 134 - Replacement of 3 Structures LOCATION OF PROJECT This project is located at: o SN 083-7000 (New SN 083-7107) carrying IL 34 over a creek 1.5 miles east of Franklin County o SN 083-7001 (New SN 083-7108) carrying IL 34 over a creek 2.4 miles east of Franklin County o SN 083-7022 carrying IL 145/34 over a creek 3.2 miles south of US 45 DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The project consists of box culvert removal and replacements of SN 083-7000, SN 083-7001 and SN 083-7022. All the culverts will be replaced with precast concrete box culverts during a weekend closure. SN 083-7107 and SN 083-7108 have precast concrete apron end sections. SN 083-7022 has a cast-in-place concrete drop structure and a precast concrete end section. One lane of traffic on IL 145/34 will be maintained over SN 083-7022 during the construction of its end section and drop structure. Major items to be constructed for this project include porous granular embankment, concrete box culvert, and stone riprap. Roadway improvements include the construction of concrete pavement, concrete shoulders, pavement marking, earthwork, and seeding.
