The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS) is requesting approval to conduct a Request for Bid (RFB) for excavating services with removal or installation of concrete, asphalt, or grass. The resulting contract would be available for use by all DCTS facilities. DHS facilities have underground infrastructure routes needing repair or replacement for the continuation of resident services. These include: electrical, plumbing, sewer, air, steam, condensate, low voltage, high voltage, fiber optic, communication lines, and camera and security network cabling systems. The goal of these excavating services is the replacement-in-kind (RIK), maintenance, or repair of the underground infrastructure and groundcover in the same location. Groundcover replacement may include concrete, asphalt, or grass. The excavation services and ground cover replacement will also involve trucking, site prep work, backfilling, and restoration to previous conditions. The Contract shall be effective on the date indicated on the purchase order or the execution date of the accompanying Contract and shall run for three (3) years from that date, with an option by mutual agreement of the agency and the Supplier, to renew for an additional two (2) optional one (1) year renewals.
