Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Peru for "Washington Park All-Seasons Project - Contract 2" and is further described as follows: Provide and install an ice rink chiller system, service pit and pump skid; 4 fire pits with adjacent seating; approx. 580 L.F. concrete barrier curb around exercise stations, challenge course, and bocce ball court (equipment and surfacing by others); approx. 5,700 S.F. of new sidewalk/pathways connecting to existing; and seeding / surface restoration. 1. Ice Rink System Details: The existing ice rink is 85' x 200' in size. 2. Provide and Install: a. Chiller and pump station b. Hose transmission lines c. Portable ice rink piping, header, tubing and hardware This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, "Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development" (OSLAD) grant program. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act (30 ILCS 565), Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/20-1), and the Business Enterprise Program for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act ("BEP"). 50% of the labor hours on the project must be performed by actual residents of the State of Illinois (20 ILCS 805/805-350). This project is subject to the Byrd Anti-Lobbying Amendment (31 USC 1352). Bidders are also advised that this Contract will be subject to all applicable provisions of State and federal laws and regulations pertaining to nondiscrimination, sexual harassment and equal employment opportunity including, but not limited to: Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5/1-101 et seq.), including, without limitation, 44 III. Admin. Code 750-Appendix A; Public Works Employment Discrimination Act (775 ILCS 10/1 et seq.); Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended) (42 USC 2000a - 2000h-6); Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 USC 794); Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (as amended) (42 USC 12101 et seq.); and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 (42 USC 6101 et seq.) The successful Bidder shall provide at least 40% of all labor required for the completion of this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the City of Peru. Bids may be held by the City of Peru for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
