Inquiries for the General Contract will be accepted until January 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The City of Quincy, the Awarding Authority, will receive sealed bids for UNIT VENTILATOR REPLACEMENTS AT BEECHWOOD KNOLL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, located at 225 Fenno St, Quincy, MA 02170 in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by BLW Engineers, Inc., P.O. Box 1551 - 311 Great Road, Littleton, MA 01460. General Bids will only be considered from bidders holding a Certificate of Eligibility from the Division of Capital Asset Management in the category of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and in a single project amount higher than the amount of the Bid. General Bids must be accompanied by a copy of the Contractor's DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility, a DCAMM Update Statement, Certification of Payment of Taxes, Certificate of Authority and Unit Price Form. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, or cash, or certified check on, or treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Quincy Massachusetts, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bid Bonds shall be TListed; Surety company(ies) shall be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, most recent edition, as amended The successful General Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond, and also a labor and materials payment bond as set forth in the specifications; each bond executed in the full amount of the Contract Price. Performance and labor and materials payment bonds shall be TListed; Surety Company(ies) shall be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, most recent edition, as amended. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after receipt of award, without written consent by the Awarding Authority. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so.
