The QUINCY HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Siding Replacement - Riverview at Riverview Development in Quincy, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by SOCOTEC. The Project consists of but not limited to: Complete removal and replacement of the existing siding, as indicated on the project drawings and specifications. Siding shall be replaced with new vinyl siding in six (6) different colors. Any deteriorated cladding shall be removed and replaced and a unit price per linear foot will be established. Window shutters are to be removed and reinstalled (if condition is acceptable) and damaged shutters will be replaced on a unit price basis. PVC panels to be installed at all electrical sheds & fixed railing to wall locations. Break metal flashing shall be installed at all base wall to deck locations, above PVC panels and at window head/jambs. All dryer vent covers to be removed and replaced. Remove & replace sealant joints between chimney and wall. Surveillance cameras, electrical sheds and wire covers will be disconnected and reconnected as needed to install new vinyl siding. The work is estimated to cost $1,500,000.00. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the QUINCY HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.
