The City of Quincy, acting through the Department of Natural Resources, is soliciting bids for the Stump Grinding The general scope of work shall consist of the grinding of stumps with a minimum of 8" below surface, the cleanup of debris/wood chips as a result of grinding, and the placement of soil to fill the hole and level to the existing grade of the grass border. The entire tree stump and all surface roots greater than two inches in diameter shall be ground down to a minimum of 8" below grade. All questions regarding this bid should be directed to Kathryn R. All questions/inquiries will be accepted until February 7, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. All wood chips and loose debris from grinding shall be removed from the location and properly disposed of. The void shall be backfilled with a quality soil mixture approved by the City The City of Quincy reserves the right to withdraw the Bid; to reject any and all bids; and to accept any bids deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Quincy. A 5% bid bond is required for the total value of the bid in the form of a bid bond or certified/treasurers check. (Please base bid bond on the work estimate of $50,000.00) A 50% payment bond will be required upon award of the contract. (The payment bond amount should be included in the quote price.) Once the contract is awarded, work shall commence and continue at the direction of the Department of Natural Resources. The Contract awarded in response to these specifications shall be effective for a period of one (1) year.
