The City of Quincy, the Awarding Authority, will receive sealed bids for UNIT VENTILATOR REPLACEMENTS AT BEECHWOOD KNOLL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, located at 225 Fenno St, Quincy, MA 02170 in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by BLW Engineers, Inc., P.O. Box 1551 - 311 Great Road, Littleton, MA 01460. Filed sub-bids in the category of Electrical must be accompanied by a copy of the Contractor’s DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility for the category of work of the Sub-bid, a DCAMM Update Statement, Certification of Payment of Taxes, and Certificate of Authority Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, or cash, or certified check on, or treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Quincy Massachusetts, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bid Bonds shall be T Listed; Surety company(ies) shall be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, most recent edition, as amended. The successful General Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond, and also a labor and materials payment bond as set forth in the specifications; each bond executed in the full amount of the Contract Price. Performance and labor and materials payment bonds shall be TListed; Surety Company(ies) shall be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, most recent edition, as amended. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after receipt of award, without written consent by the Awarding Authority. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. All bids will remain subject to acceptance for thirty days after the day of the Bid opening, but the Awarding Authority may, in its sole discretion, release any bid and return any Bid Security before that date.
