Bids shall be received for the purchase of certain Construction Services in the Lapel High School. These bids shall be for each trade and shall include, but are not limited to, the Mechanical Trades, Electrical Trades, and Specification Sections by the successful bidder or its agent. In addition, all responsive bidders shall furnish a Bid Bond or certified check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount made payable to the Franklin-Lapel Community Schools, Madison County, Indiana, as liquidated damages in the case of failure of any successful bidder to enter into a contract after notification of the acceptance of the bid. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. All bids must be properly signed with the name of the individual, partnership, or corporation submitting the bid and the person authorized to sign for the individual, partnership, or corporation and their title. The School Corporation reserves the right to reject all bids for any reason or for no reason at all, to reject any bids it determines to be non-responsive or non-responsible, and to terminate any or all of the award of Construction Services at no cost to the School Corporation at any time prior to selecting the successful bidder. The School Corporation also reserves the right to waive any irregularities or defects in any bids or in the Bid Documents in its sole and complete discretion.
